"Space as Product"

POWER BUY is a well-known electronics retail chain in Thailand, offering over 800 brands and more than 20,000 products. For this location, we designed a space where customers can intuitively engage with a wide range of products. The store is divided into three main zones: compact appliances centered around Apple products, large home appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines, and home entertainment products, with televisions at the core. Each zone reflects the nature of its respective product category through distinct spatial design. The compact appliance zone is laid out in a circular form, following the geometry of the architecture. Apple products are placed at the center, surrounded radially by related items such as speakers and headphones. This intuitive layout expresses the interconnectivity and expandability of the products through spatial composition. The large home appliance zone embodies the cleanliness and functionality of the products themselves. It features a flat lighting environment based on white tones, and shelving that wraps around the product group in bold metallic forms reminiscent of mechanical components, amplifying the sense of product performance through the space itself. In the home entertainment zone, the space is entirely blacked out to maximize immersion, allowing screens and visual content to appear as if floating. A wood-clad ceiling subtly suggests the area where products are placed while adding a soft, calming presence to the subdued environment. While each zone has a clearly defined concept, they are gently connected through continuous materials and circulation, enabling visitors to move seamlessly across different product worlds and experience a space where daily life and technology intersect.
