SHARED TERRACE is a bakery café centered around shareable menu items and based on the concept of "Living is Sharing." It is located along the famous ginkgo tree-lined boulevard near Meiji Jingu Gaien, a place blessed with some of the most beautiful and rich natural environments in Tokyo. Along the pathway from the street to the interior, a courtyard and an open terrace are installed, creating a gradual spatial connection between the ginkgo trees and the building. By subtly varying the ground levels, the design ensures a seamless flow from the street into the interior spaces. This gentle arrangement blurs the boundaries between inside and outside, offering an experience where people and nature harmoniously blend together. Inside, floor level differences extend the flow from the ginkgo avenue, while varied seating options, including chairs and sofas, are arranged to minimize direct sightlines between guests, creating a comfortable and private atmosphere. The interior design emphasizes natural materials such as wood, brick, and exposed iron structures, allowing their authentic textures to complement the rich aroma of bread freshly baked in the on-site bakery. The space is thoughtfully crafted to harmonize with the surrounding scenery, light, breeze, and sounds, creating a balanced and inviting atmosphere.
