Bridgestone Innovation Gallery is a corporate museum where visitors can experience Bridgestone’s history and technological innovations through all five senses. The gallery is organized into four zones that connect Bridgestone’s past, present, and future. By skillfully combining real exhibits with both digital and analog methods, the space minimizes reliance on textual information. This design reduces the cognitive load on visitors, allowing people of all ages to intuitively engage with and understand Bridgestone’s technologies and heritage through a seamless exhibition experience. The entrance hall features a massive dot art installation symbolizing the broad scope of Bridgestone’s technological domains. The depicted vehicles—all equipped with Bridgestone tires—range from automobiles to aircraft and even space exploration machines. These diverse vehicles are represented in life-size dot formations spread across the wall, allowing visitors to directly grasp differences in scale and function. Moreover, natural light passing through over 10,000 perforations in the dots creates dynamic, graphical shadows that change throughout the day, enriching the spatial experience. The gallery also incorporates interactive exhibits and quiz-style content designed for all ages, fostering multigenerational, two-way learning. The concept of reverse education—where children share new perspectives and discoveries with adults—is embedded within the experience, encouraging active participation and deeper understanding of Bridgestone’s technologies and history. More than just a display venue, the Bridgestone Innovation Gallery is thoughtfully designed to offer an immersive sensory journey through the company’s legacy and innovations, inspiring visitors to contemplate future possibilities and appreciate the value of collaborative creation.
